It was only a matter of time before I did a steampunk ship background... (I may post WIP photos later; I did take some showing, for instance, how I did the rivets.)
BTW the under-rated Dal Katoya looks AWESOME in steampunk clothing/settings- her faceup and complexion are set off very well by those aesthetics. Mine- whom I creatively dubbed "Cattleya", after the flower- has brown acrylic eyes, a Pullip Nahh-ato stock wig, and wears a set of stock clothing from a Henri Pullip (and it fits Dals quite well! better than Pullips, on whom it is a little too tight.)
This setup was originally for a contest entry- April 2013 Dal House entry/ topic: science fiction. Note that my taste in science fiction is, um, older than your grandpa. Unless your grandpa is Methuselah.
